Edward H. Butz
For more than three decades, Ed Butz has focused his practice on estate and tax planning, including for high net worth individuals. He is experienced in planning for special needs and elder care. In addition, he provides services in trust and estate administration, business succession, Medicaid law, and real estate law. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley and the National Academy of Elderlaw Attorneys.

Zachary J. Cohen
Zac Cohen, a native of Allentown, has a broad-based practice, focusing primarily on civil litigation. He served as the law clerk for The Honorable Robert Freedberg, who was recently retired from the Pennsylvania Superior Court. He was also the case editor for the Lehigh Law Journal and the current President of the Lehigh County Bar Association.

Frank DeVito (Coming August 2019)
Frank DeVito graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac School of Law in May 2019. He served as the Lead Articles Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review for the 2018-2019 academic year. The Quinnipiac Law Review published his article entitled “Criminal Protective Orders in Connecticut: The Problem of a Hidden Right” in the Spring 2019 volume. He will begin as an associate at Lesavoy, Butz, & Seitz in August 2019, after taking the Pennsylvania Bar Examination.

Emanuel Kapelsohn
Manny Kapelsohn has a broad-based practice with more than 30 years of experience handling complex litigation in both commercial and personal areas. He is a nationally-known weapons and use-of-force expert, advising law enforcement agencies with regard to use-of-force policies. In addition, he is a consultant to manufacturers regarding product liability and risk management issues.

Buddy Lesavoy, MBA, JD
Buddy Lesavoy concentrates his practice in business, corporate, and real estate matters, working with many family and closely-held businesses in the Lehigh Valley. He handles business start-ups, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, business succession planning, and real estate matters. A native of Allentown, Buddy has a deep understanding of local business, having served as chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. Prior to co-founding Lesavoy Butz & Seitz LLC, Buddy was a partner in one of the 100 largest national law firms for 13 years, where he served as managing partner of its Lehigh Valley office.

Jack M. Seitz
A creditors’ lawyer, Jack Seitz has more than 30 years of experience representing lenders, developers, receivers, and other business clients with a focus on creditors’ rights, workouts, bankruptcy, commercial foreclosure, receiverships, bank litigation, lender liability (defense), debt collection and fraudulent conveyances. Jack handles sheriff’s sales throughout Pennsylvania and in New Jersey. Jack also concentrates in the litigation of disputes involving fraud, business relationships, and real estate. Jack is a frequent lecturer on workout issues and foreclosure and is a certified bankruptcy mediator in both the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.

Jack has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s “Super Lawyers” for nine consecutive years, starting in 2011. Jack was also selected to Best Lawyers in America for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 (Bankruptcy, Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency, and Reorganization Law)

Seymour Traub
Sy Traub’s practice includes representation involving for-profit and non-profit businesses, contracts, real estate transactions, physicians and healthcare institutions, mergers and acquisitions, succession and estate planning, self-insurance for businesses and healthcare organizations, and medical malpractice and product liability risk management.

Sy brings a unique combination of legal, business, and technical skills to preventing and solving legal problems. Sy has represented major publicly held companies and privately held businesses who manufacture highly technical products, family businesses, hospitals, physicians, and physician groups. His risk management approach has substantially reduced liability exposure for clients in contracts, in business transactions, and in the manufacturing of products.

Sy has extensive relationships in the Allentown and the Lehigh Valley. As the volunteer Chairman of ANIZDA, the State Authority established to help redevelop the downtown of Allentown; he has used his legal and business background to substantially help revitalize Allentown into a global award-winning urban center of excellence.
